Verbal de-escalation is a course that we all need to learn from. Learn how to observe the triggers and behavior during a crisis and then learn the skills to diffuse a tense situation by listening and communicating effectively without having to escalate to a higher level of force.

OC CONTROL SYSTEM 4 Hrs.

Learn about Oleoresin Capsicum and the different type of OC spray, the patterns on how to deploy OC and the results that will come from OC deployment. Along with legal aspects of deploying OC. This course will also go over retention if someone attempts to grab your OC. *If your department does not require a exposure, we will need that on a approved letterhead. If not, or a 1st time student, the course does require an exposure.

This course covers a lot more techniques than the old impact weapon, that will help mitigate you and your agency or company with excessive force concerns, as this course covers and utilizes control techniques, along with the different ways to carry your baton, deploy your baton and different ways on how to retain your baton.

Learn the different ways to control an individual during a frisk or a search and the safety concerns to watch out for. Learn how to properly search an individual and the legality that may arise.

  

Learn about the legal requirements when handcuffing someone and discuss the civil liberties that may come from that. Learn the different ways to control an individual and properly place them in handcuffs, from standing, kneeling and prone positions. In addition, learn techniques on resistive subjects thus limiting the liability and the public image that you may face. Resulting in excessive force, Litigation and the Public Eye.

This course is to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills to operate and employ a Taser with proficiency, confidence, and composure. A Taser can be a very effective self-defense weapon, but it’s essential that those who have possession of a Taser understand how and when to employ it.

Learn the basic Control Defense Tactics, from understanding the principle of a power or a fighting stance, feet movement, escorting an individual, into the placement of control for handcuffing. Then to control and takedowns into the handcuffing from the prone position. Also learn the basics in blocks and strikes.

BASIC DEFENSIVE TACTICS 8 Hrs.

This course is the updated system of Control Defense Tactics focusing on the jiu-jitsu-based system. That will incorporate escort positions, control locks, arm and shoulder locks, body lock takedowns and control locks to the ground.  Then how to control the subject into the handcuffing procedure from the ground.  This course will also cover what is called Team Tactics Control to the ground.

Most all fights end up on the ground. This is the first level of the combative course. We will start at the very basic in this level 1 course. Learning how to perform locks and controls once you end up on the ground and taking control of the situation. Learn different positions that you may end up in while on the ground.  Its a dangerous position to be in once you take a offender to the ground and they start to fight and resist leaving you vulnerable or being taken to the ground.  This is a very intense hand to hand course.

GROUND COMBATIVES LVL II 8 HRS.

  This is level II of the combative course. This will lead off where Level I ended. Incorporating confined spaces and more advanced techniques from the ground and confined areas, such as Vehicles, Elevators, Office Spaces, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Hospitals, Cells, Buses, Airplanes and Stairwells.  Think of the most smallest room somewhere and having to fight and take an Offender into custody that's not willing to go.

TRAUMA CARE 8 HRS.

SITUATIONAL PRACTICAL SCENARIO FORCE- ON-FORCE TRAINING 4 Hrs.

TRAUMA CARE 8 HRS.

Learn about bleeding control, tourniquets, lifesaving interventions. This is geared to give you a level up when it comes to vehicle accidents, at home or even workplace violence or injuries. This class is taught by a former Combat Medic and works in the fastest pace Trauma Center in the Metro Area as an RN. Each student receives a tourniquet for free and can purchase a small IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) or a Trauma Kit for a discounted price.

ACTIVE SHOOTER OFFICER RESPONSE 16 HRS

SITUATIONAL PRACTICAL SCENARIO FORCE- ON-FORCE TRAINING 4 Hrs.

TRAUMA CARE 8 HRS.

Learn the history of active shooters, the old tactics and response, what we learned from this to now, new adaptive tactics and officer response. Learn tactics as a solo Officer response to linking up with other officers and agencies. Learn team tactics, room entries and clearing, from hallways to stairwells. Learn the importance of direct fire and accuracy with your firearms. Learn different concepts of contact teams to rescue teams. Finish the training and test your skills with a full-on active shooter force on force practical scenario. Utilizing experience live actors, you will develop the fundamentals to effectively respond to active shooter situations. .

SITUATIONAL PRACTICAL SCENARIO FORCE- ON-FORCE TRAINING 4 Hrs.

  Take your training and skills to the next level. See how you can handle scenarios That you may encounter on a daily, from Suspicious Parties, Trespassing, Disturbances, Car Checks and Car Stops, potential armed party calls, shots fired calls, to Emotionally Disturbed where you may have to encounter someone in Crisis.  Now take your skills to the next level and induce stress into your training program. You will be working through the stress inoculation and utilizing your skills in a force-on-force encounter with actors, who work in the field and deal with these type of situations on a daily basis.

 After each scenario, you will have a debrief on the scenario. Where you will get direct feedback from the evaluators and the actors in each scenario.  These scenarios will also be recorded to use during briefings and continuing education.

 

Firearms Courses

LOW LIGHT TACTICS 8 Hrs.

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN LEVEL II FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 HRS.

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN LEVEL I FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 HRS.

  This course will cover the basic concepts of working with a flashlight along with a weapon mounted light. This course will cover the different type of flashlights and techniques on how to utilize them properly with your firearm. The legal aspects needed to identify a threat or not before shooting. But also, the techniques used to search, use cover properly with a light and how to move/search with a light, aka paint the walls. 

  • Duty gear and duty holster, minimum of 200 rounds of pistol ammunition are needed.
  • Hand held flashlights that are carried on duty. A Weapon Mounted Light if you choose to but not required.
  •  Along with eye and ear protection.


Receive a Certification through the NRA Law Enforcement Division once you complete this course and pass the Qualification.

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN LEVEL I FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 HRS.

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN LEVEL II FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 HRS.

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN LEVEL I FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 HRS.

  

This course will cover the fundamentals of marksmanship and the handgun handling, that includes the 4-step draw, different type of reloading and malfunction drills, shooting fast but accurate shooting drills, close quarter shooting, defensive shooting, combat follow through, multiple targets, shooting while moving.

  •  You will need your handgun, duty holster, 3 magazines, magazine pouch and duty gear. 
  • 500 rounds of pistol ammunition along with eyes and ear protection.


Receive a Certification through the NRA Law Enforcement Division once you complete this course and pass the Qualification.

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN LEVEL II FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 HRS.

This course starts off where Level I ended. This will cover the topic of Cover and Concealment, room clearing, team tactics, shooting on the move, multiple different shooting positions, Strong hand and support hand shooting. 

Must have Defensive Handgun Level I as a prerequisite or a class similar to with approval from the instructor. 

  • You will need your duty weapon, 3 magazines, magazine pouch, duty holster and gear.
  • You will need 800 rounds of ammunition needed at a minimum. along with eyes and ear protection.


Receive a Certification through the NRA Law Enforcement Division once you complete this course and pass the Qualification.

PATROL SHOTGUN FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 8 HRS.

PATROL RIFLE LEVEL II FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 Hrs.

DEFENSIVE HANDGUN LEVEL II FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 HRS.

  In this course, you will cover the basic concepts and tactics with the shotgun: Will cover the different type of ammunition, how to switch ammunition on the fly. Drills include firing from cover, use of kneeling and prone positions, moving targets, malfunction clearing, firing on the move, and transitioning to the handgun. 

Requirements: 

  • Duty-type 12-Ga. pump or semi-auto shotgun equipped with sling. 
  • 50 rounds of slugs. 20 rounds of 00 Buck, 100 rounds of Birdshot #6, #7 or #8.  
  • 100 rounds of pistol ammunition
  • Duty handgun, duty holster, and duty gear.
  • Along with eye and ear protection.


Receive a Certification through the NRA Law Enforcement Division once you complete this course and pass the Qualification.

PATROL RIFLE LEVEL I FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 Hrs.

PATROL RIFLE LEVEL II FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 Hrs.

PATROL RIFLE LEVEL II FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 Hrs.

  This course will cover the basic concepts of Patrol Rifle or Patrol Carbine. This course will cover the fundamentals of a patrol rifle, marksmanship and handling. From zeroing your patrol rifle, malfunctions, reloads, and transitioning from your primary to your secondary weapon.

•Duty gear and duty holster, 800 rounds of rifle ammunition, 100 rounds of pistol, along with eye and ear protection.

•Receive a Certification through the NRA Law Enforcement Division once you complete this course and pass the Qualification.

PATROL RIFLE LEVEL II FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 Hrs.

PATROL RIFLE LEVEL II FOR ARMED PROFESSIONALS 16 Hrs.

This course will go more in depth, learning the tactics and techniques for working with a patrol rifle. You will learn to shoot from many different positions, compromised positions and learn how to adapt and shoot from cover. You will leave this course with the knowledge and ability to utilize your rifle as a tool. You will have the confidence and a better understanding of the in-depth functions of the rifle, than when you walked in the door.


•Must have successfully completed Patrol Rifle Level I to attend, or similar class that has been approved by the instructor.


•Duty gear and duty holster 

1,000 rounds of rifle ammunition, 400 rounds of pistol, along with eye and ear protection

.•Receive a certification through the NRA Law Enforcement Division once you complete this course and pass the Qualification

All courses will either receive a Double Tap Tactics Certification, NRA Law Enforcement Division, or through the National Law Enforcement Training Center if you are a certified Law Enforcement agency or approved security company. Any other special courses will receive specific certifications. For all Law Enforcement Agencies, Security Companies, Corporate Security Firms, Hospitals, Schools and Church Security organizations.
